Shopping cart and address details
If you have entered too many of an item and need to alter this number in your shopping basket it may be easier to delete this item and add the item again with correct number. Some customers encounter problems changing the number while in the shopping basket page
Once you have your shopping basket prepared you can click on "Pay Now" to continue to a page that requests your name, address and email details. (Address line 2, State/Province and telephone number can be left blank). If, when you try to submit this page it comes up with a dialog box saying "Please enter only alphabets" then in either the first name, last name or the city field, please remove any number or symbol that has been entered. This includes hyphens that separate a double barrelled surname. This does not affect the name on your card that will need to be entered later with your card details.
If there is not enough lines for you to fill in the full postal address please email the full address to me
Once these are filled in you need to click on "Submit" where you will be automatically directed to the PayPal secure login page which is completely safe and secure to complete your purchase. (Do not enter any details unless you can see the little padlock sign in the address bar at the top of the page or in the bar at the bottom of the page. The padlock tells you that your details are safe to enter.)
If entering a separate postal address to the billing address please send a confirmation email if paying through a PayPal account because sometimes PayPal will send your default address for posting. This is sometimes a previous address
A PAYPAL account is optional to complete your purchase. From this page choose from the two options below :-
1. Paying without a PAYPAL account
Once the shopping cart and address details page from above has been submitted, on the left hand side of the page above the credit cards logo pictures you will see a question "Don't have a PayPal account? Use your credit card or bank account. Continue.". Click onContinue.
Please ensure that you use the drop down list to choose United Kingdom. If it does not appear aphabetically with the U's it will be at the very top of the list before the A's
On This "Billing Information" pageyou can select your payment type (select card) and enter your card details and submit them.
This completes your purchase. You will receive confirmation and a receipt of your purchase by email.
You may then be asked if you would like to have an account but are NOT required to do so.
Any refunds that may be paid to you using this method, would automatically go back to the account that was used to make the purchase
2. Paying with a PAYPAL account
Once the shopping cart and address details page from above has been submitted, on the right hand side of the PayPal login page is a box where you can enter your login details and pay through your PAYPAL account. You will receive confirmation and a receipt of your purchase by email.
Any refunds that may be paid to you using this method, would automatically go back into your PayPal account
It is also possible to continue paying through the method above (using any payment card) without logging into a PayPal account.
NOTE:-e-cheque payment When customers decide to not pay with a credit/debit card and instead pay by e cheque (payment from their bank account online) the funds take between 7 - 10 days to clear. Orders will be sent once the funds have cleared.
ORDERING BY POST
There is an order form page where you will find a form that can be printed. The details on the form can also be written onto letter paper where a printer is not present. If you would like me to put any items to one side for you please email me these details and I will hold them for seven days while I wait for your order to arrive in the post
If paying by cheque make it payable to Ivor Harding. If paying by credit/debit card enter these details on the form
Pop the order and cheque in the post to the address shown on the bottom of the order form
The receipt with price information will arrive in the parcel unless you have requested otherwise. A receipt by email or a separate letter can be arranged if it is a gift
The parcel will be prepared immediately and items held for you
The parcel will be sent as soon as the cheque has cleared
If a customer would prefer to pay by direct payment into a bank account please contact me for my bank account details to do this. Contact details can be found on the Contact Details page.
There is a flat fee of £2.50 for postage and packaging. It does not matter how many items are ordered. I try to send orders the same day that I receive by 1pm. If paying by cheque parcels will be sent once the funds have cleared. All orders are sent using 1st Class Royal Mail so please allow up to 3 working days for delivery in the UK. (Very often orders are received the following day without the high cost of next day delivery)
Included in the parcel is a delivery note that does not contain any details of the price paid. This allows customers to send parcels as gifts. (Unless items are paid for by cheque. See above for details)
ITEMS OUT OF STOCK
Please do not add items that are out of stock. It is not always easy to re-stock immediately if an item that has been ordered goes out of stock, I will contact you and you will given the option to
Choose an alternative item/colour or a refund
Where it is part of a larger order it may be possible to send it at a later date otherwise an exchange or refund can be requested
The entire order can be cancelled and refunded
All items are inspected by myself before dispatch but if an item reaches you and it is not in a perfect condition a refund or exchange will be issued. If possible please email me to inform me of a faulty item because it could make it easier and simple to resolve.
CANCELLATION, RETURNS and EXCHANGE POLICY
All items to be returned must be in the same perfect condition as supplied and suitable for resale. A refund or exchange will only be accepted if free from loose hairs, stains including make-up, odours including perfume and cigarettes or any signs of laundering. For health and hygiene reasons I can not accept items that have been worn. Do not leave scarves tied in a knot, but in a the same folded condition as you received them. Do not remove tags and labels until you are completely satisfied and have decided to keep the item/s. Please return with these intact. If it had its own packagings please return with the item if this is possible. Headwear that is returned in a condition that I can not resale will not be refunded and will be sent back to you with an explanation why. I have to consider health and hygiene with the delicate state of some of my customers whose immune stystem may be very low so I can only send headwear in a perfect new condition.
Once you have made a purchase you have the right to simply change your mind and cancel your order. Please contact me as soon as possible by email. If this is done before the dispatch of your order the full amount including post and packaging is fully refunded. Because of the speed of orders being dispatched, if the order has already been posted it will have to be returned to me before a refund is issued. The original post and packing charge of £2.50 will not be refunded in this case.
Include in the parcel either the delivery note or your details including
email address/or telephone number if the payment was made over the telephone
Date of the order or dispatch to you. (date I sent the email to you to confirm its dispatch)
Every effort is made to produce a very good image and description but if you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase it may be returned for a refund or exchange. Items must be returned and be in my possession within 14 days of the despatch date. A copy of the receipt or delivery note should be included. If this is not possible please include these details: Name of the person who made the purchase, Name of the person it was delivered to (if this is different) and the date of the transaction or date on the delivery note.
Please ensure that the correct amount of postage is paid. If the correct postage has not been paid, Royal Mail also add on a handling fee on top of the amount that is missing. This amount that is paid by me, to collect the parcel from the sorting office will be deducted from the amount that is refunded to you. (Postmen are not allowed to handle money and so parcels are held at the sorting office for collecton). Please also request proof of posting at the Post Office when returning items, which they will do free of charge. Scarf Hut can not be held responsible for parcels lost in transit.
Purchases that were made using a Paypal account are automatically refunded back to a PayPal account. Purchases that were made by clicking on "Don't have a PayPal account. continue" will automatically be refunded back into the account that was used to make the purchase. Partial refunds can be made where only one or two items are returned from a larger order
The original delivery charges are not refundable. (Where an error has occurred by myself delivery charges will be refunded)
